2:00 pm on Zoom

The Cleveland community is honored to welcome Rev. Derrick Harkins, Director of HUD’s new Office of Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships, formed by President Biden in February, 2021. His past work as a change agent in communities has led him to the helm of this new office. We also welcome Michiel Wackers, Director of Cleveland’s Department of Community Develpment, to give us the local perspective on the housing issue. We know that Cleveland has a shortage of safe, affordable housing. Our goals in meeting with Rev. Harkins & Mr. Wackers are to gain information about what plans HUD has to increase affordable housing in the Cleveland area for low-income residents, and how all citizens can help with this effort and directly address the housing needs of our communities. We look forward to having members of the community join us for this important program.
