Step back in time on a docent-guided tour of Stan Hywet Hall in nearby Akron, built in 1912-1915 for F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and his family.  The magnificent 65-room Tudor Revival Manor House features its original collection of furnishings and antiquities and is worth visiting many times.

Following our tour, we will enjoy a box lunch in the estate’s café, and have time to explore the Stan Hywet Gardens, Gothic Revival Conservatory, and Gate Lodge on our own.

Please note:  To access the second floor, one must walk up a grand staircases.  There is no elevator available. Participants who do not want to walk up the staircase can wait for the group on the first floor.

Cost includes admission to Stan Hywet, docent-guided tour of the Manor House, box lunch, self-guided tour of the gardens and other areas of the estate, bus transportation, and bus driver’s tip.

Limited seats available, so make your reservations soon!  Prepaid reservations required by August 21st.  Questions? Contact Ellen Petler at or (216) 371-2244, ext. 122.
