Greater Cleveland Food Bank's Community Resource Center's Healthy Choice Food Market

The GCFB Community Resource Center’s Healthy Choice Food Market is relatively new and allows neighbor (food recipients) to select their own food instead of receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. Volunteers will help neighbors shop at the market and fill their shopping cart with nutritious food—fresh produce, canned goods, meat, dairy, and much more. Other volunteers restock food on the shelves or help neighbors take their bags of food to their cars. Volunteers will be given an orientation before beginning and should be comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Open to all Park members ages 14 & older. Volunteer as a family with your teens or young adults! Everyone who volunteers must wear closed-toe/heel footwear.

A limited number of volunteers are needed, so register soon! Registration is required through the Park website, Weekly Wrap or by emailing Ellen Petler at epetler@parksyn.org. Please let Ellen know if you would like to carpool to the project. Questions? Contact Ellen by email or at 216-371-2244 ext. 122.

Co-sponsored by Park’s Social Action Committee and Women’s Rosh Chodesh Group.
