Join Park's Security Volunteer Program

We are looking for congregants to join Park Synagogue's Security Program. In doing so, you will play an important role to help protect our Jewish Community due to the troubling rise in antisemitism nationally, including here in Ohio.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland, and their security provider JFC Security, have offered to provide free training to members of our congregation. As volunteers, you will help once or twice a month, assisting security during Shabbat services.

No formal background in security is necessary, but volunteers should have an extra desire to keep our families and services safe. If you are over the age of 18, and in good health, this is a great way to give back to our synagogue and community.

Our goal is to provide advance security training to volunteers, who would then work in teams on Shabbat with other congregants, ensuring the safety of our services.

Training is from former FBI, law enforcement and Israeli security experts in Situational Awareness, detecing suspicious behavior, emergency first aid, and various other areas of communication.

THIS IS NOT A COMBATIVE OR CONFRONTATIONAL POSITION.

If you are considering becoming a volunteer, please contact:
