Rabbi Skoff's Annual Shavuot Study Session

Noa Cochva,Miss Israel Representing Israel Around The World & IDF Veteran, will speak on:

"Representing Israel Around the World: Embracing Friends & Confronting  Antisemitism"

Noa Cochva is a renowned advocate for the state of Israel and a sought-after keynote speaker. The daughter of an Israeli Air Force squadron commander who served his country for 30 years and a military psychologist who did the same for 16, Noa grew up in a loving yet disciplined home in Bnei Atarot, a moshav outside of Tel Aviv. She is also the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. Her grandmother survived Auschwitz, and her grandfather escaped a death camp and fought against the Nazis.

After graduating high school, Noa enlisted in the IDF and served two years as a combat medic, eventually becoming the commander of her unit. After completing her military service, Noa enrolled at Estella, Israel’s elite pastry school, where she learned to make exquisite pastries, breads, chocolates, and confections.

Noa rose to national fame when she was crowned Miss Israel and earned the right to represent her country at the Miss Universe competition.

After Hamas’s brutal attack, Noa was among roughly 400,000 IDF reservists who put their lives on hold. She served on the Gaza border, fighting relentlessly to save every life that reached her hands. One day, an RPG struck near her ambulance and nearly killed her team — a moment that forever changed Noa’s relationship with Judaism and deepened her spiritual connection.
