Black & Jewish America: Our Interwoven History

Using Henry Louis Gates, Jr.’s recent PBS series on “Black & Jewish America: Our Interwoven History” as the background, members of Park Synagogue and Cory United Methodist Church will come together for an afternoon of discussion facilitated by Rekindle Cleveland, a non-profit whose mission is to help Blacks and Jews understand and support each other in our community. The program will include discussions at tables, moderated by Rekindle staff and volunteers, and will focus on the interwoven and shared history of Blacks and Jews. Come ready to participate and to be open to new ideas. If possible, please watch the four episodes of “Black & Jewish America” that is available by using Google to look up black & jewish america: a interwoven history or to view on Amazon Prime, Youtube TV, or PBS Passport.

2:30 pm Check-in, refreshments, and mingling

3:00-4:30 pm Program

Free and open to all Park, Cory, and St. Matthews members. All teens and adults are welcome to attend.
