In addition to the Mitzvah projects below, we are collecting the following items. Collection boxes are located in both buildings through May 19  Please donate generously!

Collections

Items for the homeless teen pantry 

for Bellefaire/JCB Homeless Youth Program

UNOPENED Emergency items for the homeless teen pantry: peanut butter, jelly, crackers, pasta, tuna fish, canned beans, rice, pop tarts, and chapstick

New and unopened arts & crafts supplies
for children in area hospitals 

Please donate new and unopened art & craft items such as crayons, markers, small coloring books, puzzle books, stickers, pipe cleaners etc.

Items need to fit into gallon-size Ziplock bags.

for Patients at the Veterans Hospital:

HUNGER PROJECTS

#1 Bag Lunches for the Homeless 

Project: Prepare & pack bag lunches for  homeless people. 

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Number of volunteers needed: 30 

Ages: 8+

Of special note: no volunteers with peanut allergies. Volunteers are asked to contribute food for the lunches.

#3 Greater Cleveland
Food Bank Collects, packs & distributes food to people in need. 

Project: Sort & pack surplus food for people in need. 

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

#2  Cleveland Kosher Food Pantry Packs & distributes food to people in need. 
Project: Pack bags of produce & other food for people in need; and/or deliver food to people at a central location

A Place at the Table Provides meals for people in need.

#5 Hope Lodge Provides home-like setting for cancer patients & their families.

#6 Hospice of the Western Reserve Provides end-of-life care to patients & support to relatives.

#12 Card and Letter Writing

#13 Cookie Baking

Project: Bake cookies at home for area police and fire departments.

#14 Hands-only CPR & AED Training

10:00 am- 1:00 pm @ PSE

Project: Take a few minutes to learn this new CPR technique. You may save a life!

#15 University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center Heart Pillows

Project: Stuff and sew closed heart pillows for UH Seidman Cancer Center breast cancer patients.
